Mary Seamans/The Catholic Accent Hours of preparation ready diocese for ordination of new bishop By Maria Guzzo CONTRIBUTING WRITER GREENSBURG — Countless hours of behind-the-scenes work have gone into organizing the multiple details associated with ordaining a new bishop for the Diocese of Greensburg. The celebration of Bishop-elect Edward C. Malesic’s ordination and installation as the fifth bishop of Greensburg begins July 12 at 6 p.m. with Evening Prayer on the Vigil of the Mass of Episcopal Ordina-tion. It will be held in Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg. No reservations or tickets are required for the vigil and the reception afterward in the parish’s Alba-nese Hall, where Bishop-elect Edward C. Malesic will greet everyone. His Mass of Episcopal Ordination and Installation will be held the following day at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greens-burg, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Due to seating limitations, this Mass is by invitation only. All invited guests will be asked to present their tickets at the door.
